Carbon Specialist

ROLE SUMMARY

We’re looking for a senior Carbon Specialist to join our team to help create our CarbonInvoice™ product. This is a new role in our team that will help shape how small businesses can start their climate positive journey, and grow their business through offsetting their emissions.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about solutions to climate change, with a deep knowledge of the carbon space - from categorising and measuring emissions, through to credible offset and removal projects. You will be working with our Product Development team to ensure our product is rigorous in how it measures carbon for small businesses, as well as fully-automated and simple to use.

You will empathise with busy business owners who want to do the right thing, but don't know how to start. They need innovative, but also simple, user experiences that use credible carbon accounting practices. This is a global product, so understanding how emissions vary across the planet is key. And above all, you will be passionate about deeply understanding the problem and giving the customer what they want and need.

We’re looking for a generalist who can do a bit of everything in the carbon space, and isn’t afraid of a challenge. You believe in designing climate solutions people love, and are comfortable with uncertainty. We’re early in our exciting journey and are focussed on experimenting and learning at pace. This should excite you.

We have an office in the heart of Wellington on the waterfront, but as a response to COVID we’ve moved to a fully Work From Anywhere mode. We are a small tight-knit team, with a casual atmosphere; free lunches; frequent team fun; and the right tools for you to get the job done. We’re ambitious and focussed, but we like to have fun along the way.
