Kimpton’s Farm, Papakura Stream

Native seedlings planted

Kimpton’s Farm where we planted native trees, shrubs and grasses! Kimpton’s Farm is a small working farm and long-time partner of the Papakura Stream Restoration Project (PSRP), which aims to restore and protect stream banks and water quality, as well as habitat for native species. The landowner Keith Kimpton is part of the Kimpton family who first arrived in the area in 1846 and have been farming and caring for the land since then. Kimpton’s Farm is part of the Papakura Restoration Project. Since 2021, CVNZ with partners and partners including CarbonInvoice have planted over 127,000 native plants on this project and this year we aim to plant up to 40,000 more. We need your help!Your plants will stabilise stream banks, preventing erosion and reducing the amount of sediment clogging up our waterways and making it’s way to the Manukau Harbour. Your mahi will help restore the Papakura Stream and bring back the precious birds, fish, eels, bugs and lizards to the catchment.
